Translator and chief creator of Leamoslo Otra Vez, Graciela Borja of HighScope Mexico, spoke about HighScope trainer Karen Murillo in an interview, saying that her invaluable input was “very helpful, and I am glad that we were co-partners in the adaptation of these first five storybooks.” High praise from a coworker is undoubtedly warranted for Murillo. However, it does little to present the scope of her accomplishments and the path she has traveled to become the person she is today: a former teacher and well-respected educator, researcher, and neuropsychologist.Murillo was propelled along her inspiring journey while earning her master’s degree in neuropsychology and education. Pursuing this degree opened her up to fully understanding the development of young minds and how the adults and educators around children shape them. By Lisa Respers France | CNNDrew Barrymore is drawing the ire of the Writers Guild of America over her decision to resume production on her talk show as more than 11,000 television and film writers remain on strike. In a statement shared on Instagram over the weekend, Barrymore explained her position on bringing her show back and referenced why she had previously “made a choice to walk away from the MTV, film and television awards because I was the host and it had a direct conflict with what the strike was dealing with which was studios, streamers, film, and television.”“To be clear, our talk show actually wrapped on April 20th so we never had to shut down the show,” she wrote in her statement. “However, I am also making the choice to come back for the first time in this strike for our show, that may have my name on it but this is bigger than just me.”Production on most film and television projects have come to a halt as members of the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA remain at an impasse...Grimes complains about Elon Musk’s co-parenting but confirms 3rd child with him

This may be no surprise to anyone but Grimes, but it turns out that Elon Musk isn’t the easiest person to raise a child with — or three children, as it turns out.Musk’s alleged lack of co-parenting skills was revealed by the singer over the weekend, as she stirred up concern about her children’s well-being when she impulsively said on her former lover’s platform, X, that the mercurial billionaire wasn’t letting her see their oldest child, a 3-year-old boy they also called X, as Jezebel reported. Grimes also said she was dealing with a situation that was “ripping her family apart,” which she suggested also had to do with her being cut out of communications over the twins Musk fathered in 2021 with his current partner Shivon Zilis.Grimes issued this tweet on Friday, in response to a tweet by Musk’s biographer Walter Isaacson, who shared two photos, Jezebel reported. One photo was of Musk with Zilis and their 22-month-old twins. The...Single-family residence in Palo Alto sells for $3.9 million

Oakland’s Rep. Barbara Lee, struggling to gain traction in her U.S. Senate bid against Democratic rivals, ripped Gov. Gavin Newsom over remarks in an interview Sunday that if incumbent Dianne Feinstein can’t finish her term, he’d appoint a Black woman who isn’t running for her seat as a temporary caretaker.Asked by interviewer Chuck Todd on NBC’s Meet the Press whether he would abide by a previous pledge to appoint a Black woman should Feinstein, 90, be unable to finish her term ending on Jan.3, 2025, Newsom said he would. But he added he’d seek an “interim appointment” rather than tap someone now running for her seat.“It would be completely unfair to the Democrats that have worked their tail off,” Newsom responded about the race for Feinstein’s seat in which polls show Lee trailing Democratic reps.
